Kernel Capital confirms MiFID Approval
February 9, 2009: Kernel Capital Management Partners Limited t/a Kernel Capital secure MIFID approval from the Financial Regulator.
Commenting on the MIFID approval, Kernel Capital’s ‘Head of Compliance’ Denise Sidhu said; "This approval is very
important to us, Kernel has invested considerable resources and time to ensure compliance under MiFID."

MiFID is changing the landscape in Europe and is a significant part of the European Union’s Financial Services
Action Plan (FSAP), which is designed to create a single market in financial services. With effect from 1 November
2007, Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), 2004/39/EC replaced the Investment Services Directive
(ISD) in Ireland. It was transposed in to Irish Law in on the 15 February, 2007 by the European Communities
(Markets in Financial Instruments) Regulations 2007. The purpose of MiFID is to protect consumers, increase

instruments across Europe.
