Kernel Capital currently has opportunities for a Cork-based Financial Accountant and an In-House Lawyer to join it’s team. Please see the roles outlined below:
Financial Accountant

Roles and responsibilities will relate to the following:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts under Irish GAAP

  • Maintenance of general ledgers

  • Statutory audit co-ordination and preparation of financial statements

  • Regular reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland

  • Compilation of investor reports on a portfolio of 50+ investee companies across seven funds

  • Due diligence on prospective new investees

  • Ad hoc projects and duties across the finance department as they arise

  In-House Lawyer

Roles and responsibilities will relate to the following:
  • Preparation and execution of equity and quasi equity investments

  • Company Secretarial

  • Legal due diligence

  • Legal file maintenance


Candidate Profile:
  • Ambitious accountant, Big 4, ACA/ACCA recently qualified

  • Self-starter, diligent and flexible

  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy essential

Candidate Profile:
  • Qualified lawyer or experience law graduate

  • Strong knowledge of Venture Capital / Private Equity investment

  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy essential
